Bubblebub Elastic Repair

Ok so here is the tutorial on how to fix the elastic in a Bubblebub nappy. I am a big fan of Bubblebub's. They work well and like anything after a hard life they need a bit of TLC.

For the repair job you will need;

* 35cm of 6mm Swimwear Elastic
* A really sharp stitch unpicker
* If you want to replace the velcro on the front at least 30cm of Loop
* A sewing machine
* Chocolate and a coffee because you deserve it

A new addiction

Oh dear what have I started. I am sick of Hollie loosing her hair clips and me paying out a small fortune buying new ones. After doing some research online I thought I would try and make some of my own. It has now become an addiction. There is just too many cute colours of ribbon to chose from and now I am making sets of them as stocking fillers for my friends little girls.

To make these you need;

* Single prong pin curl clips
* A hot temp glue gun
* 10mm Grosgrain ribbon
* A lighter to seal the ends of the ribbon
* A ruler
* Scissors

I may do a tutorial on how to make them but for now I will leave you with a picture of some I made.

Busy Mondays = Bleh!

Wow what a busy day I have had today and it was not fun. To start with our TV in the living area has dies. I have a sinking feeling in my stomache it may be the main bulb which means in extended warranty language "NOT COVERED" The repairer is coming to look at it on Wednesday and I'm scared. Now I can live without the TV most of the day but it is my saviour at witching hour (5pm) when The Wiggles becomes my knights in shining armour.

The next on the agenda for the day was to go to the bank to sort out some loan stuff and of course that didn't go to plan. Miss Hollie lay in the middle of the bank screeching in protest. Oh the joys of taking a toddler shopping.

On a more pleasant note I finished a couple more projects last week. One of my friends Leoni makes baby boxes for our mother groups latest additions and she picks a theme. This time it was a frog theme. So I made a embroidered frog nappy.

Leaving present

I know two posts in one day!

I forgot to post this last week. A good friend of mine at work is leaving and she is a mad quilter. I am going to miss her so much :( We worked together on Saturdays and discussed fabric, sewing and on a few occasions took in our scrap booking projects and compared. Anyway I made her some coasters using my embroidery machine in a gorgeous purple fabric. This photo really does not do the colour any justice but just to see what I made.

Anyway Kay if you are reading this, you know you will be missed.

Cleaning and more cleaning.

Well today is cleaning day. Hollie is in daycare and I only have my little munchkin Zoe to entertain. I am lucky though that Zoe will have an awesome sleep in the afternoon that lasts for about 3 hours! Plenty of time for cleaning.

Today I have already stripped the beds, done 3 loads of washing, vacuumed, mopped, polished. Left to do is sorting out my kitchen draws. Anything I have not used in the last month I am taking to the Salvation Army. My poor little kitchen cupboards are bursting with crap! I really do not have the luxury of keeping "stuff" in here.

I might even treat myself to a little bargain as well from the Salvation Army, I just cannot resist a bargain.

And to finish off my post, here is a picture of my littlest munchkin Zoe.

I know I know

So much for my post a day for this week. Anyway I have been busy this week finishing off unfinished projects.

I designed and made a toddler apron for one of my best friends daughter. Her Mum just loves purple so I knew it what colour it just had to be. I also embroidered her name on the front to make her feel extra special plus it looks super cute.

Hi

First post!!! I am going to try and keep blogging. My goal for this week is a post a day. We will see hey?

Every Tuesday I work and Michael looked after the girls today. I work 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays and I love it. I love the balance between my home life and work. I am one of the lucky ones!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading my blog and can make sense of it at times.

I have many projects on the go at the moment and so stay tuned for my updates.
